Never had it as a teen I didn't get it when I had children no it waited until the wrinkles started to creep in ! Why not add more reason for people to stare at my face ( WRINKLES AND ACNE!) it's been really bad on the bridge and tip of my nose and some times it spreads across my cheek bones. I have tried every thing even prescription creams. Inky thing any of that stuff has done is add extremely flaky dry skin along with acne. I have been noticing that before the acne surfaces I will have several layers of dry skin on top of the acne. So it's like the dry skin, dead skin or old skin is blocking the poors. I keep thinking if there was a way to scrub off the layers of old skin to where the fresh younger new skin is then maybe this issue would cure itself. I had read 2 other pins on Pinterest where these 2 other ladies had done chemical peels for acne and they had wonderful results also. I am going to give his a try. What do I have to loose ither then a bunch of old dead skin lol. When I was much younger and my mom was my age I am now I remember her trying every thing under the sun on her face to try and get rid of wrinkles. I use to make fun and pick on her about it. Hmm what they say is def true, if you pick on some one it comes back on you lol. Thanks again for sharing this and the cost is absolutely fabulous I can actually fit that in my budget !Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04545218011758075385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675259876441653122.post-9631657505185143842016-04-11T00:48:28.955-05:002016-04-11T00:48:28.955-05:00Papaya is the main component of almost all the bea...Papaya is the main component of almost all the beauty products available in market today. Ad...Ok my post really was too long!!...so part two:
Additionally after 3 weeks of the combination of the 70% glycolic peel and hyaluronic gel/serum I added their Vitamin C serum every night ($18.99)
(2 oz) VITAMIN -C 25% Anti-Oxidant Skin Face Serum - Organic (L-Ascorbic Acid...
This also got rave reviews online and I must say it made a huge difference to the discoloration almost immediately. I found both of these additional products just by researching them from the amazon site and reading the reviews which all were stellar. The only other thing I have done was start taking the vitamin Tumeric which poppyjuice recommended to help with active acne.

Final note (I swear) I have always used a high level sunscreen to try to prevent any additional intensification of the discoloration and I would really recommend to do so in conjunction with the glycolic peel. I have used Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense matte spf 50 but it's kind a pricey (Loreal now has a tinted knockoff spf 50 which I am trying now and its pretty good) or Physicians Formula CC with spf 30.

My over all hope is to have my acne gone, along with the scars, so I no longer have to wear makeup to cover everything up or feel self conscience about my skin. Not to jynx it but it seems to all be going too smoothly. I can't believe the difference in such a short time in the improvement in discoloration, acne, pores, and overall health, quality, appearance and smoothness. I know others have asked if the peel helps with active acne and I feel it does because each time I have used peel I have had at least 3-4 pimples and it has quickened their healing each time. Plus it seems to have prevented future breakouts. Crazy, I know right?! Now I only hope beyond reason that it continues (that I haven't jynxed myself) and wish that I could have known this info 15-20 years ago!!

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you poppyjuice for posting your experience and valuable information!!
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05461059790830946409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675259876441653122.post-69039496097227852912016-04-07T20:24:17.686-05:002016-04-07T20:24:17.686-05:00First off this is the very first time I have ever ...First off this is the very first time I have ever wanted or felt compelled to write a personal review becuase of the success of a product I have tried (so I will apologize now for the length of post). Because I get too well how frustrating the whole process of trying something new, over and over again, and it not working.

I must say I have searched and tried way too many things, including expensive treatements for both acne and the resulting scars and discoloration on my skin. It's never a fun process to realize something isn't going to be effective or that it's effective yet way too expensive to be feasible. Personally I feel I have had more acne as an adult than ever as a kid and no dermatologist has been able to effectively treat it. I sort of gave up, over and over again. Added to that I have experienced increased discoloration from both scarring and hormones. I have tried IPL Lazer treatments and even though they helped I couldn't afford to keep up with them as the discoloration would always return. I have tried spa glycolic peels as well with effective results, but also couldn't afford to maintain. I also tried microdermabrasion with minimal results.

That's why I was very happy to come across this post linked in pinterest. I was a bit leary (ok very leary) of trying a peel on my own but figured after reading the many very positive reviews on the link poppyjuice provided, what was there to lose!! So after 3 weeks if procrastinating and rereading the reviews many times I finally ordered the peel and some of the Alpha Hydrox brand lotion and toner which both contain glycolic acid. I also made some additions that I posted about below. So fast forward a month and I have been giving myself a weekly peel for the past 4 weeks and have seen drastically great results. I plan to now start to space the peels out more. I almost don't want to jynx it by talking about it yet, honestly I debated this. At the same time I odered what was recommended (glycolic peel), I also ordered some additional items from the same amazon vendor including their inexpensive (the same company as the glycolic peel, "Skin Beauty Solutions" (and no I don't work for them nor did I know anyhting about them till seeing this original post) 100 % Hyaluronic moisterizing gel/serum ($19.99) http://www.amazon.com/Pure-100%25-HYALURONIC-Acid-Moisturizing/dp/B006HWFUFU/ref=sr_1_12_a_it?srs=2600653011&ie=UTF8&qid=1460070706&sr=8-12&keywords=Hyaluronic
Not sure if I posted the link correctly. The reviews were really positive for this product and it's so reasonably priced as compared to all the trendy new expensive anti aging products. I use it every night and morning, and especially right after the peel. I also have been using the Alpha Hydrox brand glycolic toner which I found the best price at dermstore.Com with a 20% off promo code. I did buy the Alpha Hydrox lotion that was recommended by poppyjuice but I haven't started it yet since I didn't want to add too many new products at once and she had noted she used it more for eventual maintainance, so I will incorporate it soon.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05461059790830946409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675259876441653122.post-58984405091860809062016-02-14T20:10:59.734-06:002016-02-14T20:10:59.734-06:00Will this help white scars also?thank youWill this help white scars also?thank youAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675259876441653122.post-86017966885013160362015-12-05T10:38:39.044-06:002015-12-05T10:38:39.044-06:00Glycolic acid is reportedly good for both acne and...Glycolic acid is reportedly good for both acne and wrinkles alike! My advice would be to go to a salon for your first peel if you are uneasy about doing it yourself. If you choose to do it yourself, leave it on for a very short time (30 seconds to 1 minute) and see how you tolerate the peel. If you begin to blister immediately or experience extreme pain, rinse right away. I think having a bowl of baking soda water or a commercially prepared neutralizing solution handy would be smart as well. And my understanding is that mitosis is actually a good thing. Mitosis is a process where a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells (cell division). The major purpose of mitosis is for growth and to replace worn out cells. Last I checked that is exactly what the typical glycolic acid consumer is looking for! Thanks for your input and have a wonderful weekend :)
Poppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17565510749804897792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675259876441653122.post-85342126013720490732015-05-01T09:44:23.660-05:002015-05-01T09:44:23.660-05:00Completely agree!
